About Jeanne Tung
Jeanne Tung, MD is a pediatric gastroenterologist at Oklahoma Children's Hospital OU Health in Oklahoma City and serves as the director of the Pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease program.
Dr. Tung earned her medical degree from State University of New York Health Science Center at Syracuse in Syracuse, NY. She completed a residency in general pediatrics at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, PA and then completed a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, MN.
She is passionate about supporting children with IBD through education, research, and advocacy. She believes that the best physical and mental health for children with IBD comes from collaborative work. She has immense assistance from the clinic’s nurse navigator, psychologist, dietician, and study coordinator. In addition, she collaborates in both clinical and research efforts with other specialists involved in IBD – including pathologists, radiologists, surgeons, rheumatologists, dermatologists, and endocrinologists.
As the site physician for Oklahoma Children's Hospital's participation in ImproveCareNow, a multicenter network of pediatric gastroenterology centers, she supervises quality improvement efforts for our children with IBD. She is also a member of Crohn’s Colitis Foundation, serving at both the national and local levels for family support and education, and physician education.
